TECHNICIAN (Organic Preparation or General Chemistry)

Primary Duties
Independently perform analytical tests according to EPA Methods or other referenced methods. May prepare standards according to directions. Daily tasks include pouring, weighing, measuring and recording raw data in notebooks or logs. May wash or prepare glassware. Enters data in LIMS, summarizes QA data. May move large gas cylinders, supplies.

Essential abilities 
Read and speak conversational English. Accurate Math skills to add, subtract, divide and multiply whole numbers, decimals and percentages. Ability to handle multiple priorities, follow-up and communicate to management. Follow written and verbal directions in English. Visual acuity to accurately read computer screens, volume marks on syringes, and small print on labels. Large motor ability to move gas cylinders with a cart, lift and carry reports, boxes or supplies less than 20 pounds. May require standing over 70% of the time. Small motor skills and dexterity to handle small vials, syringes, glassware. Data entry is required.

Reporting and Accountability
Reports to Production Manager; may be directed by Senior Technician, Analyst, or Senior Analyst. Attends Group meeting weekly. Attends training and Safety meetings as scheduled. Evaluated on Accuracy, Knowledge of Methods, On-time performance, Client Service, and duties as outlined in Job Description. 

Experience: Minimum of one year experience. 
Education: Requires College degree in Science field.
